H.A.T. High Adventure Team
This is not something we will do as a troop, although I will coordinate those who are interested in attending HAT activities. High Adventure Team is an action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are seeking exciting, stimulating activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden their horizons, and increase their self-esteem. It is for girls age 11-17 or in grades 6-12. There is a $3 annual fee to be a member of HAT. Members often go rock climbing, scuba diving, canoeing and other similar activities.
I will frequently sign up for these trips as a volunteer and will take girls who are interested with me.
Spring Break Hoopla
WHEN: March 19 to 22
WHERE: Camp E-ko-wah
COST: $45.00 per participant (+$3.00 if not already a HAT member) $15.00 for
adults not participating in the activities.
We don't have all the details yet, but this will be different from the Fall Hoopla. At Fall Hoopla, you were able to experience a variety of things. At Spring Hoopla, you will choose an interest and get immersed in it. So far we have biking, backpacking, climbing, and canoeing. We will also have horseback riding, but because of the numbers that are limited in working with horses, you will only get half the time with that specialty.
